Size

Soft, lightweight silk scarf featuring birds in flight surrounded by fire flowers. The flowers are inspired by the flowers in California that rise from the ashes after forest fires. The heat, smoke, or charred soil signal the dormant seeds to sprout into flowers. This art is a reflection on resilience, determination, justice, and hope. There's a secret message in the upper right corner that reads "And then the birds told me that there is fire in my heart".

About The Process

I love working with both traditional and digital mediums. Either way, all of my art starts out with a very rough and tiny pencil sketch. From there I refine the outlines of the art at the final size until I’m happy with the underdrawing. My favorite parts of the process are playing with color and layering in all the pattern details.
